Fundraisers at leading law firm Higgs & Sons were on the case once again last year after raising an incredible £15,000 for its chosen charity, the Alzheimer's Society.
The five figure sum matches the record breaking amount raised by the Black Country based firm the previous year.
"This is an incredible amount of money which reflects the efforts of staff across the entire firm who supported, organised and participated in a whole host of activities throughout last year," comments Tim Jones a partner at Higgs & Sons who coordinates the firm's Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Community Matters.
"Everyone at Higgs is involved in choosing the charity of the year and it has been fantastic working alongside the Alzheimer's Society, learning more about the work they do and organising the various activities that have contributed to the total raised."
Amongst the activities undertaken by Higgs fundraisers were; a quiz night for over 300 guests, a football tournament attended by more than 40 teams, a family fun day at Stourbridge FC, an extreme 10k 'Wolf run', the Birmingham Legal Walk and the city's half marathon. The year also saw the Higgs & Sons' choir crowned national Legal Harmony choral champions as a result of their fundraising efforts.
"It has been wonderful working with Higgs & Sons during the past 12 months. Everyone at the firm has been generous with their time and efforts and what they have achieved is remarkable," explains Ray Nash, Senior Regional Corporate Fundraising Executive at the Alzheimer's Society.
"We rely heavily on the support of companies like Higgs & Sons to continue our commitment to improving the lives of those affected by dementia. £15,000 will make a huge difference to the lives of people living with dementia today and fund research for a cure tomorrow."
Higgs & Sons' extensive CSR programme supports a range of projects throughout the region each year. As well as selecting a dedicated charity, Higgs employees also provide hands on support to a many other organisations, committing time and resources in support of the work they do within the Black country and the wider West Midlands. In 2015 Higgs & Sons' employees supported The Haven project in Wolverhampton, Woodside Community Primary School and Mary Stevens Hospice.
This year, Higgs' employees will be supporting the Stroke Association as its chosen charity of the year.
Tim Jones concludes: "The success of our Community Matters programme is down to the hard work and dedication of everyone here at Higgs & Sons who get involved in so many ways.
"The past two years have been record breaking years for our fundraising efforts and we hope this year, working the Stroke Association will prove to be just as successful."
