An innovative new divorce service which simplifies the process for clients
has been launched in the Midlands.
PROTECT was launched by Higgs & Sons to professionals from across the
region at a special event held at award-winning Birmingham restaurant
Asha's.
Philip Barnsley, head of Higgs' family team, said the new service has been
designed following months of research with both clients and fellow
professionals.
"We all know that the world of legal services is changing and clients are
looking for a different kind of approach. Our research showed that above all
else, clients and advisers want a quality and personal advice, with cost
certainty.
"The team collated this research and the end result is the creation of
PROTECT, which simplifies divorce for clients by providing tools to assist them
every step of the way."
PROTECT has been created around an interactive document, which Higgs works in
partnership with the client to complete. This interactive approach helps the
firm to obtain clear and precise instructions from a very early stage and
understand what matters most to clients in their divorce.
There are a number of additional resources to help clients manage their case
and influence both the way it develops and the costs involved. This can include
gaining specialist financial advice earlier in some cases, which can provide a
better outcome for the individual concerned.
Philip said: "PROTECT starts from the very first meeting with a client where
we put a plan in place. We are able to provide a cost quotation based on this
plan.
"We fully understand that one size does not fit all and our new service is
designed to help clients feel in control of the case as well as the costs
involved."
Higgs & Sons works from two offices in the Black Country - Waterfront
Business Park in Brierley Hill and Kingswinford. The firm employs more than 200
