The strength in depth of the leading Midlands law firm Higgs & Sons' family department was highlighted recently after two team members were appointed to senior roles within prestigious regional organisations.
Rhian Gray, an associate in the family team was elected to the role of Vice-Chair of West Midlands Resolution, whilst colleague Adam Maguire was appointed as President of the Future Faces section of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
Rhian who has been a member of Resolution since 2007 will take up the Vice Chair role for a period of 12 months, after which she will become the Chair of the organisation for a period of two years.
Resolution is a national organisation, whose 6,500 members are made up of family lawyers and other related professionals throughout England and Wales who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family matters. The organisation actively campaigns for improvements to the family justice system.
"I am honoured to be elected as the Vice Chair of West Midlands Resolution," states Rhian. "I have been a member of Resolution for eight years and I fully appreciate how much it does to help those with family problems resolve their issues in a non-confrontational way."
Adam Maguire was recently elected President of Future Faces by members of the Executive Committee. The President represents Future Faces on the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Council.
"I am delighted and extremely proud to be leading Future Faces as President for 2015/16. Having been involved with Future Faces over the last few years, I have been inspired by the breadth of talent within the Committee and the wider membership.
"I am very much looking forward to working with our Patrons as well as actively representing the members of Future Faces and all rising talent within Birmingham and the wider region on the Chamber Council over the next year."
Future Faces has been developed by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce to help businesses support and develop staff who are committed to developing their careers. The organisation works with people across all sectors seeking to share experiences, to learn from business leaders and to work with their peer groups to develop new skills, knowledge and best practice.
