Leading Midlands law firm Higgs & Sons has played a key part in the sale
of a specialist care provider.

Warwickshire-based Ingleby Care has been bought by learning disability
support provider Voyage Care for an undisclosed sum.

Associate Geoff Kettle in the corporate team at Higgs, represented Ingleby's
owners Gavin and Jean Miller during five months of talks leading up to the
deal.

Geoff said the deal was a perfect fit for both Ingleby and Voyage Care and
had gone as smoothly as possible, "The end result is a good match for both the
Millers and Voyage, which has picked up an excellent business. The Miller's took
pride in the quality of the care provided by Ingleby and this was clearly
recognised by the buyer".

Geoff said the Higgs' team which worked on the deal included corporate
partner Susheel Gupta, Richard Honick, from the commercial property team and
Joanne Walker from employment. The sellers were also assisted by Simon Chapman
of Burgis & Bullock, who provided corporate finance advice on the deal.

Geoff said the Millers had started Ingleby, a specialist provider of social
care services to people with profound and multiple disabilities, around seven
years ago and the company ran centres across Warwickshire, including Nuneaton
and Atherstone.

The current deal is one of a number of transactions the corporate team at Higgs has completed recently within the healthcare sector.

Geoff who leads the healthcare team at Higgs said "We have developed a
genuine expertise within the healthcare sector over the last few years which
continues to benefit a number of our clients".

Gavin Miller commented "We were recommended to Higgs & Sons because of their knowledge and experience of clients within the healthcare sector. Their
advice proved to be invaluable and was key in us achieving the deal on the terms
we wanted".

Higgs & Sons works from two offices in the Black Country - Waterfront
Business Park in Brierley Hill and Kingswinford. The firm employs more than 200
people, which includes over 100 specialist lawyers.
